Mumbai: The makers of the much-awaited comedy entertainer Welcome To The Jungle have announced special paid preview shows ahead of the film’s worldwide theatrical release on June 26. Advance bookings for the film opened today, while paid preview screenings are set to take place on June 25, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The decision reflects a growing trend in Bollywood, where producers are increasingly opting for early paid screenings to build audience buzz and strengthen opening-day collections. Several major releases this year have experimented with the strategy, using preview shows to generate excitement and positive word-of-mouth before the official release date.
For lead star Akshay Kumar, this marks the second film of the year to adopt the paid-preview model. Industry analysts believe the approach can significantly enhance a film’s opening performance, particularly for large-scale commercial entertainers with strong audience anticipation.
Trade circles are forecasting a healthy opening for Welcome To The Jungle, with expectations that the paid previews and advance ticket sales could contribute positively to its first-day box-office figures. The film has reportedly been cleared with a runtime of 2 hours and 28 minutes.
Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film serves as the third installment in the popular Welcome franchise and features one of the largest ensemble casts seen in recent Hindi cinema.
